"God's love stitched into daily life - not just in miracles, but in consistency."
Just like the longest journey that begins with a single step, so does each sampler begin with a single stitch.  All stitches begin the same way, by sticking the needle first in, then out of the fabric.  The only difference between one type of stitch and the other is where you put that needle and how you manipulate the thread.   - Hands Across The Sea

Stitched on 25ct Mushroom Lugana, 1 over 1.
Finally...the finished project!  "Rose Cottage Sampler Pinkeep" from Stacy Nash Primitives.  This one took me longer than I thought it would simply because of the small fabric count and stitching it 1 over 1.  But, it's completed and I finished it into the pinkeep it was intended to be.  My initial inclination was to frame it with the background fabric, but Stacy was right...it was calling out to be a pinkeep!  The background fabric is from Moda Fabrics Nancy's Needles.  The red with the blue floral motif matched perfectly with the colors in the sampler pattern.  I'm so happy with the final outcome!

Through the Storms from Silver Creek Samplers. Stitched on 25 count stormy weather lugana, 1 over 1. Framed in a Mill Hill Frame.
I don't always feel pulled to stitch "cutesy designs" but this is a pattern I couldn't resist.  "Through the Storms" by Silver Creek Samplers was the perfect pattern to commemorate 33 years with my husband.  We've had many "storms" hit us throughout those years but the harder they hit...the more we stand united and weather our way through!

Next project started..."Brother's Keeper" from Plum Street Samplers, showing a unique perspective on the Bible story of Cain and Abel.

I just bought the pattern, linen and floss for Stacy Nash's Rose Cottage Sampler today, I've been eyeing it since it came out. I was so glad that it's still available. I'm doing mine on 32 count linen, since 36 count is getting a little too small for me at this age, even with magnifying glasses.
